Default Rake on a Wide Glide?

Wanted to put this in the general section to see if anyone might know. For the 2007 redesign of the Wide Glide, how did they add the extra 2 degrees of rake? Was it a redesigned frame and neck angle or did they add the extra rake in the trees?

don't know the difference in the early to late, but the 06s had a different frame and tripple tree.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; BTW, the '07 is the same as the '06.

Anyway, that says the steering head is 34 degrees so if the total rake is 36 it would have to be in the tree?? That would increase trail. ??

ok. what is fork angle then?&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; see that HD lists the rake at 34 and the fork angle at 36?&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; guess they're keeping us confused?

I don't know. Two ways I know of to increase rake beyond the neck angle. One is raked trees and the other is to either lower the back of the bike or raise the front. (Or both.) That will change the fork angle. The WG does have a taller front tire than back tire I think, but I just don't know anything about what they mean.

My Deuce is 32 and our WG is 34 and I can really see the diff. You wouldn't think it would be that much but it is. Both have about the same size front and rear tires. You would think you could really see the diff between a 96 and a 2006 but I can't see any. Maybe it's marketing.
