'07 Fatboy Remap??
Friend of mine has an '07 Fatboy. Wanting to put Vance &\\; Hinds Big Radius exhaust on. Does he have to have a remap or can he do without until he does the stage 1 air cleaner. Stealer told him must have the remap. I thought if just changing exhaust remap wasn't necessary. Thanks for any input.

The ecm has the ability to change the air/fuel mix on the new bikes with the O2 sensors. With that said the stock a/f mix on the bike is a very lean 14.7 to 1. So the bike will be lean with or without the pipes. Check out the IEDs and XiEDs at nightrider.com. For \\;less than $100 he can put the a/f mix at a much better ratio.

if you're just going with pipes, no remap is needed. the EFI can handle it. the IEDs and Xieds are a good idea for pretty cheap money. once the aircleaner is added, a remap will be needed, and perhaps a fuel tuner (PCIII, etc.).
