code numbers in shop manual

code numbers in shop manual
I'm sure someone knows the answer to this question.
A friend of mine is working on his RK and is using the HD shop manual in the troubleshooting section it shows small numbers next to the routines. What is the significants of these numbers?
Example: [REPLACE RADIO 6601] or [Repair Short in Ultra Pverlay Harness 6560]
Are these numbers related to a job or billing code or are they part numbers?

Thanks 69z28. Both my shop manuals reference the same detail. It looks to me like it is a code to a chart in the back that is a physical location for the item being discussed.

With all the post telling folks to buy the shop manual, I was hoping to get a lot more comments on my question. Oh well , one more try. Anyone have any experience with these numbers?
