&nbsp\\; If you dropped it, and then a 15 lb cinderblock fell on it and cracked the
outside......I would consider&nbsp\\;a new paint job...but would be cheaper to buy a new helmet.
&nbsp\\; You dropping&nbsp\\; it on a carpet?&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; (lucky you weren't wearing it.)

Hell, I've kicked my gravy bowl across a parkin lot before.&nbsp\\; The only reason I still wear it, is because the Nebraska law makers say I have to.

Any helmet that was so cheaply made that it was damaged by dropping it on a carpeted floor would not be the one I'd wear,I mean cmon.

Dropped my Helmet today. I have always heard it should be replaced if that happens. Just wanted to some other views. I dropped it inside on carpet. Looks okay, but thought I would ask.

Default RE: Question

I wonder how many times someone has walked up on the mangled broken body of a motorcycle rider after a wreck and said " I bet he dropped that helmet one time to many". If the shells not cracked and the foam isn't compressed, I would think its okay. I never wanted to test a helmet to failure with my head and neck in it. I also figure if the helmet fails than I was screwed anyway.

Helmets save brains if it is low enough impact and enough of the rider survives to support a brain. They don't save a neck or a body.
