Default Super Tuner Required?

I have a 2008 Night Train and want to get new pipes.&nbsp\\; I am looking at the Vance &amp\\; Hines Short Shot staggered in black.&nbsp\\; I have had mixed opinions on what is ACTUALLY required when changing out the stock pipes.&nbsp\\; I am definately putting on a high flow air kit but do I need a super tuner or will the bike be fine without it?&nbsp\\; All the dealers I have asked said its required (at an additional cost of $550), and everyone I have talked to who has after market pipes, including after market performance shops say to install the pipes first and see how it runs.&nbsp\\; Most if not all have NOT put the super tuner in because they say the bike runs fine...
&nbsp\\;
Any suggetions???

With slip ons you might be ok, with Short Shots you need to retune.

If you will be changing both eventually, you WILL need a SERT or PC3.&nbsp\\; If not, you will be too lean and burn out cylinders.

If you increase the air flow, you will need some kind
of fuel management system.
If you simply put slip-ons on,,you might be ok

Search, the only reason I say it is because I can't post anything helpful and it has been debated already.

Thundermax is the best choice.

If you don't git the thundermax git the Big Shot by ARlen Ness, it willl allow you to do more to yer motor than the Fuel Pack.
And if you do yer pipes you might as well git the Big Sucker air kit.

I have a used TM with A/T that I posted for sale, It will not fit my 08 Touring bike.

I put V/H Ovals on my SG and it's backfiring more than I liked with stock breather. Just dropped the bike off tonight. Dealer is installing a SE A/C, tuner and will dyno.
