I went to a local dealer yesterday. \\; There show room holds about 100 bikes, they only had 12 new bikes in stock? \\;The lowest inventory I have ever seen. \\;  \\;A few 08s and and a few 09s. \\; \\;Makes me wonder \\;if the production cut is going to hurt dealer sales. \\; They cant sell bikes if they dont have them. \\;
It's not unusual, they will have all their first quarter shipments in the next few weeks and be full by September. They've already passed their prime selling season (Feb - May), so it's not a big panic for them. The average dealer only sells about 200 bikes a year, so they have to really spread them out anyways.
Our local dealer told me that they were very short this year and were told not to expect as many bikes for the rest of the season.

I was told basicly the same thing, cutting production in 09 and getting the used market back on track. The bubble has burst and time to get back to limited stock.
stopped \\; by my dealer today, 5 leftover 08' s [ everyone a duracell ] and 2 \\; 09dynas \\; and 1 screaming eagle ultra . Not a sporty in the store, says they are basically impossible to get. \\; \\; \\;
