What a bunch of freaking jerg offs, a funeral is no place for
any type of demonstration period. If I were a family member, and had
a gun, well you can figure what I might do...
They didn't even know the victim, but ragged all about his lifestyle,
where did they get their information from?
People like this, especailly hiding behind "religion" should
be going to their own funeral, not someone elses.

Speaks volumes about their level of intelligence. They're so blinded by their own righteousness and self-importance they can't see and don't care how unpopular their views and actions are.
I'd love to see them do this at an HA's funeral.....
wish we could get every chapter of the Guards to send a rider up there. If I could go / "get time off from work," I would volunteer for the Vegas chapter. These folk's time is a com'in. sooner or later they are going to meet a family that just dosent give a d#&n and take a couple out. Deep breath,,, calm down... whew, almost got on my soapbox there... had to delete a paragraph or two.
This group has no association with the Baptist church. They just call themselves "Baptist". They have no association with the Christian religion either. Christians love their neighbors, those people hate. They are the ones with the sinfull filthy way of life. They are not Christians at all. They will be judged accordingly. People like this who use God to justify their hate is why religion has taken so many knocks.
Great post.
Heck you know they're not Baptists..."Shirley Phelps-Roper said ..."
The locals up there ought to form a human chain around the funeral area to keep those jacka$$es out. If one of the members of their so called "extended family" (read "inbreeders") happens to get killed then God obviusly was displeased with their wicked ways living in this "***" country.
I'm impressed that in all the press I've seen about the Westboro sickos, I've never heard of the Patriot Guard riders or soldiers' families that have had to deal with them stooping to their level. Kudos to all for taking the high road; I know it must take enormous self control.
They may come, but I'll be surprised if they come back. Not trying to give the "tough guy" speech, but about 12 years ago the KKK tried to set up shop in a lot of the towns in Eastern Canada (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, etc). I'm talking towns with the largest pop. being about 100,000, the klan came and so did thousands of people in each city to run them out......they haven't come back.
MacLean's murder was so brutal that I can't even imagine why these idiots want to come here, but I guarantee the rage that they encounter will make them think twice about coming back.
It would be an honour to have the Patriot Guard buffer for the family. The bigger problem is that now that this has been in the news, how do you protect the family? With those religous rejects showing up, the Canadians that will be there to stop them, the RCMP, etc - it's going to be hard to keep it from turning into a huge media disaster
Yes, it takes a lot of self-control... but go to the PGR site for info and more background on what Westboro is evolving into. PGR is strictly non-violent. Riders can deploy to make a human wall to protect the families of our heroes, but no confrontations.
The Westboro crowd is essentially a family... about a king-size van full whose cowardice leads them to the vulnerable and un-protected. However, there is some indication that Westboro is seeking to turn their pastime into a business venture possibly by seeking to get someone to strike at them so the ensuing multi-million $ lawsuit can buy a better van and some nice perks.
Lower than the crud that feeds off the bottom of pond-scum.

Do the job well enough and there won't be anyone to sue or buy anything. Besides, you can sue anyone for whatever and get awarded....collecting is a different matter.
