I had something like that happen to me except the guy was on a Harley Ultra. I was in New Mexico with my son taking a lunch break when this yo-yo pulled up and backed in so close to my bike that there was no way that I could have straightened my bike up to leave. It seems the guy did not know how to dismount on the right side and could not figure out if he had enough room on the left to squeeze off of his bike. I sat there watching and told my son that if that guy's foot touched my bike I was going to just go over and kick his bike over. My son believed me and got up and went over and told the guy to get his bike off the kickstand and go park somewhere else. Which he did. It was funny that night talking about it over beers but I was really pizzed when it was happening. I'm sure the guy did not realize how close he was backing and I am just glad he did not back right into my bike.
Once I saw a guy backing into a parking spot at the dealership with a new SG and he scraped a bag on a post. The poor guy damn near cried.
I was in the cage at Wal-Mart last night, and waiting for the wife to pick something up real quick (yeah right!) and saw a Gold Wing coming into the parking lot. It was the only bike there, so I was watching him pull in, looking at all the ambulance lights it was covered with. He pulls into the far row of spaces, which is against a curb, so there's just a single row. He swings into one, pulls to the left out of it so he can back in, and the thought crossed my mind, "I wonder if he'll put it in reverse even though it's completely level ground and would be quicker to walk back." Sure enough, he stops. Puts both feet down, then fiddles with something for a minute. He then proceeded to use his reverse gear to go backwards half a bike-length. I'm laughing out loud, and when I look up, my wife has been standing by the door waiting on me, and now has her hands on her hips. I pull up, she gets in and says, "Please tell me you weren't really that interested in a Honda." LOL!
