I wave at any 2 wheeler - I even initiate waves.... heck - I'm just a friendly guy. I will even wave at a farmer out in the fields on a tractor. I really don't care if anyone returns it - I'll keep doing it......

Usually let my wife do the wavin' thing, unless I know the person, otherwise I could care less about wavin '. Sometimes a nod suffices too.

I wave when waved at. What irks me are the "tough" ones that won't wave when waved at. "Course I ride w/a helmet in a no helmet state. All folks w/helmets wave, either first or in response to me. I usually wait for the wave before responding in kind. Saves the frustration from being ignored.
