Anyone ever rent one of these? Is the cargo area large enough for three Dynas? How are the tie downs. Any comments(serious ones) would be welcomed. Planning possible trip June 2009, three people, from NY to Colorado, Wyoming.
If I remember correctly, the Fun Mover "might" be able to carry 3 Dynas, but it will be a very tight fit. Also...there are several different models/sizes of Fun Movers. The Damon Outlaw can carry 3 Dynas if they are positioned properly. But it would also be a very tight fit. We have looked at these two models for quite a while now, and I'm still undecided which one we might end up buying. Like I said...any of the Fun Movers or Outlaws will be a tight fit for 3 bikes, and positioning will have to be versatile to allow it.
What is the open floor space ? We used a 8 x 16 enclosed trailer to carry 3 baggers and it was fine but tight. We used 3 wheeldocks staggered and had 4 tie down ponts for each bike. Flip up eye in the floor for the fronts and adjustable etrack for the back.
most have a floor space of 7' 6" X 10 make some measurements good luck
Not necessarily. Some are 8' x 14, and others are much smaller.
I would suggest that you go to the manufacturer's website ( www.fourwinds-rv.com or www.damonrv.com ) and get the exact measurements off their floorplans. Even better yet...if you can find one on a lot take your tape measure and measure it yourself. Then go home and get some masking tape and lay out the outline on your garage floor. That way you can actually "park the bikes" inside the outline and get a MUCH better idea of what you're dealing with. Sometimes measurements aren't NEARLY as big as they sound when you actually have to get inside of the perimeter......don't ask me how I know.
