Default Itty bitty turnsignals

Rant on

Coming home form work today, I almost ran over a fellow Harley rider because of his lack of visible turnsignals and brake light.....
You could see them when you were about to run him over.
Naturally he flips me off, and I yell out the window buy some real &*^%ing turnsignals.
So if you have that type of stuff on yer scoot, and you almost get run over a fair amount, that's probably why.

Rant off

I've notice more bikes like that the past few years. Also have seen several bikes with out the headlight on (it is a legal requirement here) this summer. Almost invisible on a shaded road especially with the sun behind them.

I have bitched at my DH for years because of that. You can hardly see him on the road at all. The bike is silver and black (just like the road!), and he has these tiny lights in the back. Then when he wears black, he blends right into the road. It's dangerous. Luckily he has never had an incident, and a few weeks ago purchased a big ol touring Road Glide, and because I bitched so much he put extra lights in the back!!

Agreed, this is an aftermarket product for a showrrom bike, not a productive/useful bike on the roads. I made my tail lights MORE visible with the kit!? Why go the other way?!

you mean to say that
some people actually use those things??
I guess mine still work I'll have to look in the top of the garage someday and see.
here in ca. if you turn them on it just says you just lost a spot to get into.nobody cares or looks at them..and the stock ones are really ugly..

Some of us think those big ol yellow lights look FUGLY.
Some of us ride old bikes that didn't come with turn signals, head light that comes on when you turn the key on and a big ol tail light.
All of my lights are LED except the head and spot lights, much brighter than the stockers.

Remember: bikes are invisible to the driver/rider not looking for us even if we have all the extra safety stuff.

RANT OVER.

Blinkers? blinkers? we don't need your stinking blinkers.
I did put LEDs in my cateye on the chop, and the tombstone on the FLH, in hopes they might see me. No blinks on either one. In fact, no horn, either.
Daylight, I have 38"+ arms. Momma even laughs at me, she says it looks like a windmill when I signal.
Night, I try really hard to NOT have anyone behind me. In fact, I run way slow, hoping someone will pass me, so I can use them for a deershield.
But you have to remember, we do live in Quamba. It's not the edge of the world, but you can see it from here. Besides, no one uses the darn things up here, 'specially the cagers.
I made sure when I moved away from the Twin Cities, that I didn't leave anything behind. I have NO REASON to go near that hellhole.
