So I stop by this picnic on Saturday on the RK. When I go to leave the bike won't start, right in front of some guys who just love to bash Harleys. Long story short, my buddy who has a Fat Boy helps me and we figure out that the Fuel Pak just completely failed. Checked the settings; they were all fine. V&H says they will replace it, but I'm starting to reconsider switching to either the Power Commander or SERT. Any thoughts?
I have a Power Commander and wonder about the same failure. I guess you can always pull the plugs and bypass it.
Parts and electronics fail. No different than a bad coil on an older bike.
What can you do?

I did the Fuelpak route and had terrible trouble with it and their service. Switched to PCIII and love it. I like to tinker and it allows me to create different maps. Easy to install, understand and operate.
In my opinion, go with the SERT. I have it on my bike and it works excellent. Also, I haven't heard of any issues like I have with the other manufactures. Go with the SERT. You will be happy you did.
