I'm currently shoping for a new bike for spring and (damn snow...) and I've went to the dealer and tried a couple of bikes and ended up my choice on the FatBoy '09.
Now, I want it black denim, that's ok so far. The problem that I've been thinking recently is that the frame is black glossy.
Is it possible to get the frame plainted the color I want as with the CVOs?
Black is your only choice. The factory won't offer custom frame color. You can try it on the salesman, but watch his expression it will be priceless.
Only way to change it is to completely disassemble the bike. It is also powdercoated, so it wont be an easy process.
He is absolutely correct, all but CVO's come gloss black only. The good news is, if you choose to disassemble it and change the gloss level there is a powder coat that exactly matches the HD denim black! It'll be a lot of work but you probably won't see another one around like it... until everyone sees yours!!!
