He said he tried to talk to the service manager and got the run around on that too. Maybe you worked in a good car dealership that may have cared. As I said in my post, it has been mine and a lot of friends experiences with dealerships that they were in it for a job...no care for the people that need them. It was more then a couple hours this man lost.. read his story again and look at the dates. He was bull****ted to over and over and put on the back burner. It's happened to me and alot of folks I know. Just saying, so don't go taking it so personal.
Rant rebuttal off.
lol.
Knew Brasso was good for tarnish and polishing chrome, etc,. but for rubber boots marks?.
I used Goof Off once on my Rush pipes to get burned boot rubber off. Even after it seemed all the rubber was off and I was down to the bare chrome a discoloration remained making me think it was permanent.
I figured I must've rubbed some of the chrome finish off. For the hell of it I decided to try a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on it. I was amazed to see the discoloration "magically" disappear.
Ok, this story is sooo made up it's funny, NOONE waits for hours in anybody's service dept. for help, no tech will spend 1/2 hr. looking at a blemish. They would have had a boot mark off in 2 minutes. LMAO

Hey Bob,
Sorry to be so sensitive but after all these years and genuinely trying to help folks out and trying to beat the bad dealer rap, it really pisses me off to hear about the dealers (car or bike) being bad rapped.
I bust my *** everyday and try to help folks out that have the mind set of dealers being bad. Most are not.
Not saying that some dont really suck because they do. I think the post guy probably took some creative liberties with his story. Just sayin. Rant off and no disrespect to you. Still wish my biggest problem was a blemished pipe.

PS didnt mean to hijack the thread.

I wouldn't have takin the bike with the mark on the pipe. If they said it could be cleaned off they would have done right then. Why should I clean off a boot mark off that they put on there.
Wow, something is just not right here. This dealership, if this story is in fact true, should just shut their doors. They have no business being in business.
