Sorry if this post is in wrong spot , still trying finding my way around the forums.
Installed a sert 32107-01L ,a ness bigsucker and rinehart true duals on a 08 Electra Glide.
Took my tuner about an hour to install on the dyno. Seemed a little quick to me after what I have read here but who am I to tell him his job. ( this shop here is highly recommended even by the local harley dealers for tunes. ) btw what a change in the response of the bike and the way it performs.
Problem :
I was told I would get much better mileage than the 36 - 37mpg I was getting.
Well I now get 38 - 38.5mpg . I am 6' 2 280 not a small boy.
Is this acceptable mileage for my bike or should I take it back to my tuner.
I do not run the bike hard , and run premium fuel. Freeway riding no mountains.
What do you guys think ?
If I have left any info out let me know.
Thanks in advance !!!
I usually ride pretty hard, but for 1 tank i took it easy to see what milage i would get,,lo and behold i went from 36-38 to 50-52 mpg,,no joke it suprised the hell outta me,,BTW i have the S/E pipes, A/C and download....
No problem,,if your takin it easy you should get at the least 44-46 mpg,,,I have heard of guys around here getting low to mid 50's with a good dyno tune...
...but do a lot of highway miles. My 05 Eglide gets 40 mpg. SERT, 95" hicomp with SE heads and 211 cams. Hi flow A/C and Rush (w/1.75") exhaust. Will only burn premium gas or pings in the summer. My 90 evo softail gets 50 mpg under the same riding conditions but burns regular gas, never pings and is suprisingly quick for a basically stock motor. It has SE ignition and Cycle Shack exhaust w/mufflers...
