Seems like there is a centrifugal clutch being offered by Barnett or someone. Works like a regular clutch or it works like a centrifugal. Just an ideal. Read about it and remembered it because a friend of mine has arthritis in her wrist.
For those that have these, do they do anything for the size of the friction zone or do they only reduce the force on the lever? I'm looking, ideally, for something that makes a wider friction zone because I have a really hard time being smooth with a clutch that seems like it's either all on or all off. OK, that's a bit of an exaggeration, but the friction zone seems to be about 1/4" of lever travel and I could do with a bit more. It's been like that since new and even after being adjusted at the last service.

Seem I saw that somewhere as well.. Don't even have to use the clutch..
I'll look into this one. Thanks to everyone who replied and keep the ideas coming.
I had the unfortunate opportunity to be cut diagonally from the outside to inside of my left wrist, 5 1/2 inches long and deep enough to take some of the nerves and leave the tendons alone. Lucky so far, I may regain partial strength and feeling in my left hand. Never felt a thing, until the doc started poking around inside. Day 4 now and my fingers feel like they are going to explode. I work 20 minutes from the hospital, first on scene was there 7 1/2 minutes from notification. Doc said I was the luckiest person she had met so far that day, but it was still early. I'm just thankful to everybody that helped me out. I went in by ambulance and was rolled into the ER waiting room until I bled through the bandages and my BP dropped, then I got in and out pretty quick. Find out tommorow if I'll need any surgery. If I could cross my fingers, I would.

Wow... ouch! You can set that AMP assist to act like a trigger if you tighten it up.. tension at first then pop in... you will need to play with it to get it the way you want it.
Update- Doc says should regain good strength and mobility in all digits after time. Feeling and sensation could be a different story. Best case a few months recovery to mostly normal use, worst case will be no feeling in thumb, index and middle fingers and a re-eval for surgery. Either way I still think I got lucky.
