Baker DD5
Having occasional trouble shifting under full power above 5000rpm...a couple of grey-haired techs suggest it could be a problem with the undercut or backcut on the stock gears and I'm considering replacing the gearset with a Baker DD5; anyone have one of these gearsets and how do you like it??? Don't need a 6th speed; bike is an '01 FXDXT with a warmed up 103 inch motor.....I tend to stay off roads that require hours in 5th.

My hot rodded Harleys have the Zippers back cut mods done to the stock 5 speed.Shifting is not a problem at any rpm,missed shifts are a thing of the past.Also a lot less expensive than a new gear set.

I'm familiar with Zippers, but not with their transmission work. How else will it affect my shifting??? I may be the $ame as the Baker gearset after I ship across the border and back from Canada.....
