Like all bikes which ever one you purchase will take getting use to. Reflecting on my experience (having had stripped down rigids, sportsters and bikes I could easily handle for 25-30 years) the recent upgrade to a pair of Ultra's took some conscientious effort on my part. And the Ultra is different when riding solo to packed and with passenger. However once on the open road the Ultra is the shiet! Cruise,cassette,CB,AM/FM, helmet to helmet intercom and tons of storage. Comfortable seating especially for the passenger.I would reccomend test riding all your choices but don't be put off by any of the bikes because none will automatically "talk" to you at first. Like all good reletionships, it takes invested time on your part with bike.

Don't buy into anything from pressure from the crowd and don't not buy something because of the crowd. I can tell you a bike is a bike is a bike. They all break down and none are more reliable then the other. All brands pump out a lemon every now and then.

I thoroughly love my Ultra's and have recently come back from a 15-1600 mile 2 wheeled vacation and a couple 3-400 mile day trips and the reletionship is going strong. Wifes come and go, a Harley is forever. With a harley you take care of it and it takes care of you, not so with all wives..............
