Default Back at it again

Well it has been 9 months since I took flight and broke my pelvis that totalled my night train. After 5 months of rehab I am back to full duty with my unit and I am as about as normal as I was, although some debate how normal I was before the wreck.... About a month ago I got into contact with Darwin Motorcycles and they are in the process of building my next bike. I still have some time before it will be done, but I want to restock my gear. I already replaced my helmet, sunglasses/goggles, etc. However, this year I think I am going to go on some trips. BeforeI just hoped on and rode for the day or so. This time around I really want to enjoy myself. With all the leave I have racked up I plan to take some extended rides.

Basically I am looking for some good rain gear, bags, advice, etc.

Thank you.

First off, congratulations on your recovery! I'm glad you are doing well.

We had FroggTogs rain gear, which folds small, packs easily, and kept us dry in some torrential downpours. I have heard that it melts if you hit the hot pipes with your right leg, and some people I believe put duct tape on the right leg of the pants to prevent that.

However, my hubby just discovered the FXRG pants and jacket. He ordered it, and just received it a few days ago. He rode over 500 miles yesterday. He didn't really hit any rain, but he hit a drop in temperature at high altitude, and he LOVED the fit and warmth of the jacket. It has a zip out liner and vents if it is not VERY cold.

Oh, FroggTogs, about $70... FXRG, about $700, but good for more conditions than just rain!

Enjoy your rides, and stay safe!!
