Skull and Crossbones

I see these a lot at bike dealers, rallies, and all over clothing. What does this symbol mean?

If I buy a shirt with this on it, does it mean I want to be a pirate?

Calling each other swashbuckling poser pirates is all fun and games at recess.

It's all about marketing, and the money to be made...

HD can and will continue to come up with new ideas to cause us to part with our hard earned cash... skull running boards / primary covers / shift linkages HELL even the the damn valve stem covers have skulls on um...

It could also have been leading up to the new "dark customs" on HD's web site, but that's stretching the conspiracy theory a bit too far heh (c;
