I signed up when I bought my current bike and a sheeit load of accessories to go iwth it. The MVP discount more than paid for the membership, so I essentially got it for free. You don't have to buy a whole lot of stuff to pay for the membership fee, and it's a one-time charge to boot. MY dealership usually runs MVP-only sales every month or so, like 20% off certain clothes, accessories, etc. Worth it, IMO.

Dealership here offers a free loyalty card. Each time you buy something, a small percentage is rebated to the card. You then can spend it on anything.

MVP dealer has MVP-only sales every month. The things they have on sale will be like PJ and thongs. What up with that? I know i get tied. But the thong don't go those chaps.

Cadman,
You could have worn the PJs and thong to the little wine tasting party last year. Most likely the same dealer as me. A urine cup of wine and a chunk of cheese just don't cut it.

I've got a MVP with one dealer, and a rewards card with another. Get a heck of a deal at either place. Now its a matter of location, and which am I closer to

There are several shops that will give you a 20% discount if you order online but you have a shipping charge also. I've found that even with the shipping I still save enough over what I would pay at a local dealer after sales tax to make it worth the 3 to 5 day wait to get the stuff

Gotta agree with IronAss on this - I can order from online dealers and get 20% or more (I've saved up to 30% off on certain items). Why would I want to give my dealer money to save 11% when I get twice as much saving, or more, for free?

Not worth it to me. I haven't been back to the dealer since the day I bought the bike back in '05.

+1 for what Ironass says. There's too many places to buy the stuff online, and avoid the sales tax and high dealer pricing, to make a miserable 11% + a membership charge worthwile.
As long as you can wait a couple of days for what you order, online is the way to go.
Half the time, when you go to the dealer for something, they have to order it, and you end up waiting for it AND get to pay top dollar to get it.

Chicago HD gives 20% and free shipping. They only charge a handling fee. No sales tax for out of staters, either.

To hell with paying a dealer a fee to get a discount. I'll take my business elsewhere.
