Its easy, if you have basic tools and just a little mechanical ability.
I recommend the quick detach kit, it makes cleaning much easier, and gives the option of riding without.
Don't laugh--------------
It's a buell blast..Last time i asked on this forum about it someone mentioned people dont consider this a harley bike period!-I relize that- but its my "starter" harley bike...Anyway-I would like one that can be taken off easily also.I am 5'5"-125#.He gave me a price with bike-tax-title-windshield,and just trying to figure out what the price of windshield is.I guess I could just call and ask what his breakdown is.Also I read somewhere where we can add an exhaust to make it sound cooler.Anyone???
Like I said I relize this isn't an "HARLEY" but hey I need to start somewhere and no payments is a great way to start....
Sure, tryin' to sneak up on us as a "Gal".
We are not so easily fooled, Grasshopper.
Girl or not, it is still a "WIMPSHIELD", not a windshield.
FYI, "Saddlebarges" and "Fairy" replace saddlebags and fairing.
Like your thought process tho, No cash, No splash. Pay that sucker off when ya bring it home. A+.
You can handle the wimpshield install if you can change a light bulb.
Does your blast have a windscreen already and you're just replacing it? Or are you adding an entirely new assembly? Either way, it's a bolt on addition, certainly it's something that you can do yourself. The dealer is going to charge you at least an hour's worth of labor, most likely at $80 or so an hour, plus the screen is going to be marked up a bunch.... I'd do a google search for buell blast windscreen and see what comes up. For example, a replacement harley shield for my bike is about $150. I can get the same one online (although it's a memphis shades instead of hd) for $70. In fact, I just replaced mine...

Are you buying a new bike? I'd recommend looking at a used Buell. They depreciate quickly. The bikes come from the factory tuned to meet strict emission requirements. Changing the air cleaner, mufflers, and remapping the computer, which is called stage 1, will improve performance for the least money.
Slideshow: From the troubled AMF years to modern misfires, these bikes earned reputations for reliability issues, questionable engineering, or disappointing performance.
