I can't believe I'm saying this, but Whahoo, gas is dropping so fast it's like they're daring us to go for long rides. Just in time for the Lake Michigan tour next week.
Don't think it's a reason to celebrate? Catch the next Obama Bin Laden infomercial. He's still saying we have to do something about $4.75 / gal. Guess he doesn't pump his own.
$3.62 in Warrenton, MO, but $3.42 just 15 miles west of here. The funny part is that both stations are owned by the same company! Think there isn't any price gouging going on?!? Think again!!!
Here in Nashville, we got gas at most stations now for $3.99. I did find one station with premium yesterday. Squeezed every drop I could get in that little Sporty tank.

their evil plan is working... jack up the prices sky high for a while, then drop them some and people are jumping with joy to pay the new lower price, which is still way higher than it was...
of course I don't really believe this, but it makes ya think...
It took me 1/2 hour to get gas this morning (no exaggeration) with the long lines at one of the few stations to have any. I would say conservatively that one out of every three is out of gas completely in our area and good luck finding premium for the scoot. I picked up a jug of octane boost yesterday and my wife and I proceeded to ride past three stations with no gas at all before pulling into one of the discounters and they actually had some premium (at least it says it is, anyway).
They keep saying it will get back to "normal" soon, but when is soon, exactly.
I don't get how they can get oil/gas from the south to Detroit and miss the states in-between. I remember in the 70's when I went down to Texas gas got cheaper the further south I went.
Do I think it's an evil plan? Yes. Still, there are 100 gas stations within 5 square miles of my home and the only reason one wouldn't have gas is if their underground tanks are leaking. We also have giant refining tanks lining our freeways instead of pretty mountains or palm trees.
Hey, it could have been a lot worse. Pickens (the oil *****), was betting things were going to get worse and lost a billion dollars because things got better.
