Default Intercom question

Yes i know, why spoil the ride with the chitchatter of the wife in your ear, but in all honesty we like talking to each other and it is quite enjoyable for us.

Ok here is my question, on the current bike I have a J&M CB intercom system. Actually been quite happy with it, but I am changing bikes, well getting a newer heritage softail classic and was currious whether in the last 3 years there has been any new systems that are even better than the one I have at the moment.

Principle use is the intercom, but there are numerous times when I use the CB system with my club on rides, and also sometimes my wife decides she also wants to take the car with on long weekends away when we need to hit interstates a little to much for her taste. So I would like to have a system that would also have CB.

My main thing is i would like to get rid of the wires to the helmet...I guess that means Bluetooth.

Does anyone have any experience with bluetooth systems? I know that there are some bluetooth systems that supposed allow you quite some distance between both headsets, so would work for my wife and I when she uses the car. I don't think blue tooth would work for the group rides. Are there any systems that you hook up to a CB?

What I am really looking for is if someone has any personal experience with them and can make suggestions.

thanks

The best one to ask that question is John at J&M. They've done a ton of research and testing on bluetooth, etc. You can probably follow their ad for a link.
