Ignition/timing adjust for pipes only???

Is it really necessary to need to adjust the ignition / timing for only having pipes and new air filter on a 05? If thatâ€™s all thatâ€™s done to the bike and the pipes are of equal length (keeping the Volumetric Efficiency the same between each cylinder) wouldnâ€™t the Techlusion be just fine if no other upgrades were planned?

No it is not. The DFO/TFI is perfect in this application. I am very happy with mine.

I think this is the direction I'm headed for. I donâ€™t intend to break the engine open for another two years at least. I found a stealth DFO for $165

That's the one I got. It installs in under half an hour. The settings they give are slightly rich, but will definitely give you a starting point. I still think the best part about this unit is the fact that you can take it back off the bike in the same half hour if it needs to go to the stealership for any warranty work. No chance of getting a denied claim because of any downloads or ECM mods.
