I also like to ride two up with my wife so her comfort is also important. The more comfortable she is the longer we ride. Take a look at the Ultra!!

I too think you will enjoy the RK more in the long run. Things that I find I enjoy having on my bike is cruise control, a radio and gauges. I never thought I would, but now I love them. You might want to take a look at a Road Glide...

You have to meet a minimum age requirement for the GeezerGlide (RKC).
You can tour on anything.

How big is the wife, no numbers here, small, med, large, xlarge, xxlarge, if she falls in anything above med to large and up you two would def be better off on touring bike. I weigh 270, 6'4" tall, wife is 5'2" med to large,(she was looking over shoulder here, orig typed petite, she gone now prolly get sum tonight). We have RK, about to switch back to Ultra. Always been comfortable on touring bikes.

Well, I think there's a good reason the Touring models are called ....... Touring models. I rented an Ultra for a month and did some serious miles on it. Was amazing. I ended up going with a Fatty, but that's because of other reasons.

Point is, if you want comfort for you and the bird, go for the Touring model. When it comes to millage and comfort there's no comparison. You may wanna get floorboard extensions and some of those crash bar pegs that can be moved up and out and in etc etc etc. That way your legs will be comfy and not cramped up.

Thanks guys. Just came back from the dealership. They did not have RKs at all. Expecting new shipment here in November, so I'll have to wait. I did try to sit on few bikes and still find Fat Bob more comfortable for some reason but Glide however is slowly gliding on me and I did like the feel of it. Booked the test ride for this Friday on both Bob again and the Glide. We'll se what happens. How does the Bob look like with saddle bags and/or back rest? Any pics? Guess I'll google it.

You will be way more comfortable for 2 up riding on the Road King or any Touring Model for that matter compared to a Fat Bob, in fact there would be no comparison.

Yeah, I'm not sure why I felt that way, I just did. I know that the RK would give you a far superior ride for longer rides, that's for sure. I sat on a street glide and loved it! I am probably going Heritage myself, but that is after a lot of trying different models. I am going with what works for me, and it goes without saying, that it should be that way for you as well.
