This happen to anyone else?!? My 2 harleys that I've owned seem to develop small issues just after the warrenty expires. In both cases (1997 & 2008), I decided to bring the bikes back to the dealers to see what thier thoughts were before just buying the parts and wrenching on the bikes myself. Both dealers (Harley Davidson Montreal & Harley Davidson Leo) offered to fix the bikes for free, as they f%&ked up shortly after the warrenty had just expired.
I must say, I was very impressed both times. I never repair any of my vehicles at any dealer, unless it's warrenty work (prefer to do it myself or give it to a reputable independant mechanic).
To show my appreciation, I delivered a few nice bottles of wine to HD today, as they could have just easily said, "sorry buddy, your warrenty is up".
It was small work, a rear brake sensor (brake light was staying on after the rear brake was released) on my 1997 sporty, and an LED brake light module on my 2006 FXST + a few problem relating to the bike being delivered too low (bottoming out).
Either way, I was pretty darn impressed. Freindly Canadians I guess.
