My 2006 FXDLI has been giving me a problem. When I pull in the clutch in anticipation of downshifting before executing a turn etc. the engine will simply die. I took it to the dealer once before and after three days they could not determine what the problem was. It ran fine for about 200 miles and then started doing the same thing again yesterday. Has anyone experienced this problem? If so, and you have an idea why this is occuring, I would greatly appreciate any insight. Hope to be riding confidently soon as spring is almost here!
Are you FI? If so have the stealer check the MAP sensor and the wiring going to it. My buddy had his MAP sensor go bad and it would start/idle just fine but give it throttle it would die. Another buddy had his wiring rubbing on somthing underneith that caused a short, it acted alot like what you are saying.

EDIT: Just looked again you are FI, have that checked out.
Sounds like a sensor going bad so it os an itermitent problem. They are the worst kind to fix because they absolutely won't reoccur when the bike is in the shop. The dealer may not be able to actually see the problem so it may take some time to find it. That said, they should be able to check everything based on your description of the problem. Probably something simple so keep at it. You will get it worked out.[&:]
