Ignition, fork lock, security system, when not on bike. Pros can get it. Stupid little idiots can't.

If you are going to be storing it I have an idea. leave the forks and ignition unlocked. Buy a used seat, take the foam out of the bottom half and JB Weld a chitload of nails to the seat pan (make sure they are long enough to poke through the seat cover if weight is placed on the seat.
Put the cover back on and put the "Nail Seat" on the bike.
Just remember to replace it with the good one before you go riding agian

It may sound crazy to you guys, but when the bike is locked up in the shed with security enabled, my truck is pulled up to the door and locked. Gate is locked behind the truck, and wife's truck is pulled up to the gate and locked. They may get it, but they will have to be some towing fools to do it! I am a firm believer in barriers! I do have to undo it all every morning, but it give me piece of mind, so I don't care.

I lock my ignition & forks whenever I am not riding.
If you are storing the bike in a shed get a non-descript cover (no harley emblems) or a honda bike cover.

I also agree with the others. Pay for good insurance & don't worry about anything.
Meth Heads or Crack Addicts will do whatever it takes.
Make sure you have plenty of lighting around the shed & hope for the best.

Good Luck!

Just like the lock on your front door... they only serve to keep honest people out.

Best things to do?
>> bike insurance.
>> blend with the crowd.
>> make the bike difficult to steal (nothing is impossible, but difficult will make them move on to someone else's ride.)
