just picked up my new 2009 FLSTC (heritage softail classic) and got a odometer question.
Now I had a look at the owner manual and did not find the explanation that I am looking for:
1) I see that there is the full millage, trip 1, trip 2, "r" and the time.
what is the r? is that how much I should be able to drive before my tank runs dry?
2) how do i adjust the time?
It`s the mileage left on the existing fuel as a reserve. My wife`s '08 Deluxe has the same setup. Not exact but it at least gives you an idea of how far you have left on your fuel...
If I remember right, you press the reset lightly and hold it in until the hour flashes and then press it in again to adjust it. Same for minutes. It's in the owner's manual.
