Default Rear Roxer Box Removal - Help needed

Help needed on removing roxer box assessmbly.

I have removed and replaced all my gaskets and umbrella valve on the front roxer box last fall, now attempting the rear.

How is this done?
I can remove the first plate , but am having troubles removing the second due to clearance on the frame.

I then removed all bolts, trying to take the last two plates along with the rockers out, but get caught on the valves. I understand putting the bike into fifth gear and rotate until valves closed, but still can't remove.

I am getting caught on about 1/8 of an inch of the rocker when trying to slide the second rocker plate out.

Do i have to drop the engine to replace the gaskets on the rear rocker box. I would imagine there is some trick i am missing.

Please help.

You might get a better response if you post this in the tech forum section. Ask Shovelhead Bob.

I dunno what year or model bike.. Early (Up to 99) Evo onna softtail frame has this problem tho.. Ya need ta take the push rod covers off.. Yer gonna replace those gaskets as well. Un bolt the rockers, take out the push rods and covers, and remove the rocker arms, Then take yer boxes off... Do it all in reverse ta put em back..

Is this an Evo? Sounds like the problem is with trying to take out the last two together. They have to be removed separately. The bottom one has fasteners underneath the middle one. The rockers can stay in there.
