I have always said that if you have to take a beach, shell them with the big guns and bomb them from a carrier. Then, if you really want to take the beach, send in the Marines.

My favorite "wholly owned subsidiary" of the US Navy, and nothing compares to the fighting spirit of the US Marines.

Semper Fi and Happy Birthday guys!! 1775 was a good year.

My used Harley had a US Marines license plate frame which I gave to one of my best friends who spent 20 plus years in the Marines. He is considering buying a Harley so I figured I would get him started. When I gave him the license plate frame I told him he had to buy the rest of the bike. I have great respect for everyone who has served our country in the Marines and the other branches of our military.
