Never have been able to find a half lid that fits worth a damn so went to a 3/4 Shoei RJ Air.

Took some time to get it broken in but now I feel a lot better now wearing the added protection.

Just my .02,

Krusr

I've got an HJC and a Fulmer both 1/2 helmets along with a couple of beenies. My wife loves her Scorpion 1/2 helmet with a retractable shield. I can attest that the Scorpion is a very well made helmet.

I wear a Biltwell open-face helmet. Maybe a little more retro than most people on here would prefer, but they are comfortable. www.biltwellinc.com

anubisss, you are correct. Students at the SCCA driving schools are always asking us how much safety gear is worth, especially the helmet. Our standard reply is, "nothing until you need it than it's priceless and, how much is your brain worth?" My full face helmet has always been an SA Simpson that is out of date for auto racing, but never had a major impact (we have to turn them into the region if we're involved in a crash that left the helmet with a visible mark on it, or had been impacted). I do, for just cruising on the bike, wear a Bell 1/2 helmet in real warm weather. Not as optimum safety wise as the full face I admit, but still a good helmet.

The Biltwell metal flake Black helmet has that cool "old school" look.

This is great advise.
