This doesn't seem logical, but I have a 1/2 helmet and I finally took the little visor off and the wind noise lessened. The wind drag decreased substantially, too (I like the look and feel of the RK w/o a windshield).
Of course if the wind noise really bothers you go get some good ear plugs...
BTW, the wind noise is only a factor at 60 + mph, you're just riding around town???
I honestly dont like half helmets that you ears are visible, I have worn my dads 1/2 helmet and rly didnt like it, at first I did till I got home and Had the BIGGEST headAche of my life, only reason I wore it is b/c women wanted some rides ;-) so of course i gave them my 3/4 one...In all honesty like everyone says get some real good earplugs and you'll be ok
