I have seen a couple posts lately about stopping to help someone (or not) when you are out riding. Tonight I had a mechanical/electrical question that I threw up on the Evo board and within a short time had several answers. One was like a step-by-step manual on charging system diagnosis. The writer certainly didn't have to take the time to go into that much detail, or even respond (stop and see if he could help - if you are continuing the "real world" analogy), but he clearly went out of his way to lend a hand - above and beyond. We might have bikes pass us by on the side of the road, but we might need to remember the times someone on here has willingly given of their time and talents to the benefit of others.
That's another reason I make it a point to stop when I do literally see someone on the side of the road. I only have a little to offer here with so many people far more knowledgable than me, but if I have a cellphone and some time I can often help on the roadside.
Thanks to all of you that lend your mechanical expertise around here.
