Going fenderless is okay, until you get caught out in the rain, then all of the water that was deflected by the fender is now in your face, so go for it if you aint going to ride in wet weather, or don't mind the extra water in your face.
Ain't gonna git no betta splainin' than this.
It's called "Skunk trail" for a reason.
If it's a real short shower, I'll ride it out at a gas station or rest stop, etc.
But if it's 'raining', WTH, you are wet already, and you can only git saturated, then it just runs/drips off. And as long as the road is wet, so are you, raining or not.
And then there's the nice little lake you git in front of your crotch.
All whilst you are "TRYING" to see the road.
IMFUO, leave it off.
Dude, its totally up to you. Do what you think looks best.
personally I ride alot and find myself stuck in the rain now and then.
you have to think about rideability as well. I would leave it on.
either yer man enuf to take the rain in the face, or you take the pickup truck to werk while the rest of us ride, but either way, man up and lose the fender.
Pffft... I you wanna be a REAL man, rather than doing some ***** assed **** and just removing your fender, lose the bike completely. Get yourself some rope with a grappling hook on one end. When a pickup or other suitable target comes buy, snag that puppy and let him drag your *** to work.

I had enough of no fenders when I was eight and on a bicycles...
Never even thought of taking them off my motorcycles...

LOL, you really oughtta think about it. Your bike is s'posed to be the reincarnation of a bobber, and them puppies never had fenders! Fenders was dead weight and always got all bent up during the hillclimbs, anyway.
Oh, I just remembered my old Ironhead. I chopped the front fender (bobbed) it back about 4-5 inches, and it looked great, and the rain was NO problem... You might consider that.

WOW......what year was that?....Guess I've been lucky......ridin in Denver since the late 60s my bikes have never had front fenders.........my trike doesn't have any and I've never had a ticket.........for lack of fenders that is....
Guess I should look up the laws, cause I was debateing putting fenders on the trike.......must be gettin old.......DUH......thats why I ride on three.....
Kept getting the tickets on Federal Blvd. back in the late 79 early 80's. Before I built mine I used to buy cheap dirt bike fenders from the DUMP. Remember that place? Had one in my saddlebag when I got stopped cop told me too bad it's not on the bike.
