A coffee house that caters to bikers is a GREAT idea. I know Sean & I ALWAYS stop at Starbucks when out on the bikes. And if we go out to a bar for beer we almost always stop at Starbucks on the way home too.

Sorry I don't hang out in coffee shops but what ever floats your boat... Not to say I don't like a good cup of joe, but $4 for a coffee when beer is half the price! I have a beer or two but thats about it...

being a computer geek by current profession it will also be a place with wifi if not a full blown internet cafe... We don't have enough of them down here.

I agree that the price for some of the coffee places can be crazy... Heck... And X-Large Coffee with Cream and Suger from Dunkin Donuts was $2.26 the other day...

And for what beer costs at a bar I can get it cheapers at the grocery store... Look at Yingling (sp?) as an example... I can get that for $3-4 at a bar and I can get a whole six pack for $4.38 at the store.

It not always about finding the cheaper beverage... Heck... there would be no restaurants if we just wanted cheaper...

I would just be interested in a "biker" destination were alcohol was not the centerpiece. I am sure such places exists... I just have not seen them.

A cool old house, converted on the first floor into a coffe shop, with a big front porch and a big gravle parking lot.

Homemade soup, sandwiches, coffee, etc.

No need for "Biker" stuff hung from the walls, just a cool, old place, definitly not a strip mall, starbucks deal.

That's what will draw people, weather on 2 wheels or 4.

That's what we go searching for on rides, found a great one off one of the highway's by me heading from Jersey into PA.

I'll gladly ride the extra distance to go there before going to some modern, theme coffee house....

You would have to brew a good rich dark Columbian for me to drink coffee there. Also not mind if bikers put their feet up on the furniture to relax

If its for bikers, I would say leave the beer alone. I don't drink when I ride. But a cool, low key, not stupid expensive place that served good coffee... (Dunkin Donuts coffee is good, Starbucks is burnt yuppie swill) and some nice grub? Sounds like a winner. Make sure bikes have preferred parking spots. There are a coupla places around me that provide biker friendly parking and a place to stow a helmet, and they stay busy. Nothing fancy, but good food, and you can take you and the lady there for chow and a coffee for about $20. They keep making money. IF you decide to do it, let us know... and can a brotha get 10% off the top if I am flying the HDF patch?

A coffee house is an awesome idea!! I have thought about it myself. Couple of problems though;

It won’t be long before some butt munch walks in and orders a Light-Iced, Double-Shot, Half-caf, Non-Fat, 8-pump Sugar-Free Vanilla, Extra Caramel, Dark Caramel Macchiatto.[sm=loser.gif] Then you have to bust out a couple of their teeth and you are in jail. Dude, I can’t let that happen.

Or, when you open your shop and have to make coffee, clean the equipment, repair the machines, clean the bathrooms, mop the floors, stock the shelves… yeah, see, now it’s not about loving coffee anymore. So you start to hate to go to your store, you drink less and less coffee, and the next thing you know, you are looking long and hard at loose White Oolong teas![sm=badidea.gif] Man, that’s worse than going to jail, so I can’t let that happen either bro!

Not to mention, with all the “bikers” badmouthing all of us “RUB”s at Starbucks etc (while they secretly long for a Grande, Non-fat, Decaf, Two-shot, No foam, No cream latte) [sm=bustedsign.gif]I don’t know if “cater to bikers” is gonna work.

I know this, open it and I’ll be there!! Uh, just a black coffee and a triple espresso for me man!

John

So you would have a problem with my Grande Sugarfree Vanilla Non-fat Latte?
