Let us know how you make out. I just used one of these about 2 months ago (when I bought the wheel chock).

Try it yet? What do ya think? My opinion, of course, is based on only using this HF model.

I have one and it works great. Especially for cleaning the left side and working on the bike.

So are these pretty "secure" on the floor in the garage without having to bolt them down or anything like that?

Thinking of getting one for my dad for XMAS, and possibly one for myself just for use in the garage. Mainly for an easy way to park it in the garage and whatnot.

In my case, I park between the space between my car and the garage wall in our two car garage, it's not too tight, but it would be nice to have this kind of thing and back into it with the rear wheel and have it stand up and take up less space.

Question: On the HF website is says it fits widths 80-127W. My dad's Ultra has a 130 front tire...so is that gonna work?

Arrow Condor knockoff

I've got a problem with mine. My garage floor has the rustoleum brand expoxy on it. It's too slippery for get the bike off the unit; it just slides along the floor. I'm gonna have to fasten it to the concrete floor or maybe the block header along the wall. I had to wait for "the Bitch that fell off..." to get home from work. She stood on the cross arms (of the unit) so I could jerk the bike off it. When the bike is on it though, it seems very stable. Just what I was looking for at a very reasonable price. I'd give it an 'A'.

I read back in this thread and noticed one guy who put a piece of plywood under the entire bike and mounted the stand on it. That would probably be a solution in your case if you didn't want to bolt down into your floor.

Could just get a piece of plywood big enough for the whole bike to sit on, paint it black or something and then mount that stand on it. Then your bike can pull up onto the plywood and when you back out, it probably wouldn't slide.

That's a great suggestion! I missed it. I'm picky about my garage and drilling holes in it. Plus I want the ability to move it and the bikes around. During the summer, part of my 2 1/2 car garage is occupied by my fishin' boat. It's stored elsewhere for the winter. I will buy another of those units for my wifes FatBoy.

I am thinking of getting one of these. It's a pain in the butt tie down the bike by yourself using a Pingle chock. Great price too.

That would be me. Its works great! The key is to use the entire 8' length. This way as you front tire enters the chock the rear wheel is catching the plywood, which keeps the whole unit from skipping forward.

It also addresses the issue of someone not wanting the tires to sit on the cold concrete floor it that matters to you.

Here is a pic. Not the best but I think it shows the basic idea.
