Got my dad one this week and tried it out. Didn't have the plywood yet, and it was a bit difficult to keep the stand from sliding on the garage floor. He has an Electra Glide Classic so it took some pushing to get it out of the stand since it wanted to slide. Definitely need to secure it down, either directly to the floor or to a plywood base.
Planning on a trip to Home Depot to pick up a slab of wood to do just that. Should make things much easier so there's some rigidness to the stand.
But it is very stable, there's a bit of wobble if you pull from side to side on the bike, but it's not going anywhere. Wish they had one that was wide enough to back into but the rear tires on most bikes is wider than the 130 max width.
I drop the kick stand down for a little insurance, especially since the kids are in and out of the garage grabing bikes and other stuff.
Right, but what if it ends up going the other way?
Regardless, I think it would take quite a shove to knock it out of place so it's not something I'd really worry about, but I guess the kick stand out could help it at least on one side.

In my case if the bike were to fall to the right it would hit the wall, so I guess its kind of covered from both sides.
I agree it would take a pretty hard shove to knock it over. I've sat on the bike while it was in the chock and had both feet up on my highway pegs and it felt pretty stable. You could also tie the bike down with the eye loops that are on the chock.
All in all for the price you can't go wrong.
