Glad it worked out for you but wouldn't it have been a happier ending if you had an alarm on your house instead of your bike. Just saying
I do have an alarm on my house. It wasn't centrally monitored but now it is. Even so, the point of having an alarm is for the police to come and catch the criminals. In this case, that's just what happened, only they got them about a mile from my house. All five intruders are in jail and I've got most of my stuff back. Most important of all, none of my family members, to include my dog, were hurt. I don't think it could have worked out any happier than that.
I'm glad I got the alarm and the siren, although I haven't need them yet. I hope I never do. But you never know. Sorry you had to go through this, but the consolation is that those punks won't be out breaking in other people's houses for a while. Tough public service you did. Glad things are working out OK.
Glad that they were able to catch the punks and get some of your belongings back, but in all honesty they will just slap them on the wrist and turn them loose, they will be back trying again in a month or two. Our justice system needs serious improvement. I am sure that if you had of came home for lunch the out come would have been different, could of been worse, but also could of been better. There is nothing I would like to see then a few of the punks that think stealing is the way to go, running around missing a hand, if this would happen we might have less theft, but some activist group would complain that it was cruel and unusual punishment. Go figure.
BTW, I have the factory installed system completed with siren, but I have gone a couple of steps further I have installed lo-jack and a gps tracking RFID on my bike, if for some reason it comes up missing, just maybe one of these two devices will allow the cops to track it down. Also when these went on I got a discount through my insurance company.
Great news, Laz! Glad they got caught, and you got most of your things back!!!

Good ending to the story. I have the alarm with the siren that automatically sets when you walk away. Several times I have gone into my garage without the fob and without thinking sat on the bike and moved it upright. The alarm nearly bursts my ear drums in the closed garage. It hurts my wife's ears even in the house. The last time that I set off the alarm she threatened that one of these times she was going to come out and blow me away with the 12 gauge. I think she was kidding.
