Default powder coat touch ups?

Someone knocked over my bike. I need to touch up some scratches in the powdercoat on the pipes and front brake handle. Is this even possible without taking the pipes off?

I do some powder coating as a hobbly and a way to finance some habits. The tough part will be matching the color. Black colors are not too bad but I have 6 different black colors I use. You see how it could be an issue. The tougher part will be that you need to heat up the parts to 400 degrees F to cure powder coat. Patching powder coat is tough and usually sucks. You might try some touch up paint. You could at least do that u self.
Good luck,,,,

I just realized I did not answer your question. You will need to remove the parts to have them fixed.

If you have factory black pipes they are ceramic coated, not powder. Besides using spray paint there's no way to touch up ceramic or powder. Like NetMinder said, the parts will have to be removed, stripped of the old finish, smooth out any scratches in the metal and re-finished. If it's just the heat shield(s) that was damaged on your pipes you can actually have them powder coated without having problems from the heat, but not the pipes.

BTW - I hope the person who knocked over your bike left with no less than a black eye!
