has any body got any experience -seen - owned- whatever one of these trike conversions http://mtcvoyager.com/
as I get older I am looking at going trike but don't want to spend a fortune on a new bike
thanks..
My buddy got one for his Mother In Law when she got cancer, and she really enjoyed it, and rode with it until her last week. She also lasted an extra couple years, because she was still able to get out and ride, and wasn't stuck at home thinking about her condition. The only bad thing about it is that if you ride with it on a lot, you develop abnormal wear patterns to the rear tire, so that if you ever decide to take it off, your tire will be flat down the middle like a car tire, so it'll handle terribly.
my uncle had their kit on a honda 1100 shadow. he enjoyed his bike much more with this kit installed. it was fairly simple to install. he had become unstable on two wheels, but enjoyed his motorcycle. this was a fast / economical fix for him. now on a sour note, he was tragically killed this past oct. at mbbw. the trike kit did not contribute to the accident or his injuries. ride safe
A guy had one on at a local event this year. Talked to him... he has the good looking model is sold on it and does do the quick change from time to time.
A friend of mines dad has a eglide converted to a trike by Champion. They did agreat job of matching the paint and the workmanship is super. I have ridden it a couple of times and going from 2 wheels to 3 takes a few miles to get used to riding. Not what I want to ride right now but a few years down the road if 3 wheels means the difference between riding or not I will for sure go for the conversion kit.
I just saw your address and realized that the bike I am talking about is in Valley Center. The dad passed away and I think it may be for sale. If you are interested let me know and I can get you more info on it.
I've sold several Voyager kits, never had an unsatisfied customer. They're much cheaper(parts and labor) than a trike conversion, and with a good paint job they look great.

Probably best to go ahead and put a car tire on the rear of the bike if you choose this kit and don't have the need to occasionally ride without it. You'll get better wear and they're cheaper.
