As a few others have posted, riding season is over. WTF, nothing to look forward to but 4-5 months of shiet weather and getting cross with some posters here because my nerves are fried, not because the posters are bad. Blizzards of feets of snow and temps below zero. Cars that won't start, hurts to breath its so cold.
I'm not just whining, I have tried twice in less then a year to tranfer outta here, one still pending (cross your fingers, say a prayer, lite a candle etc..). I can't just up and vacate the careeer at this juncture, starting over at 52 is more of a challenge then I want to volunteer for.
I have 2 low cost vacation trips, 2 weeks each to the Southland. One in mid December and one in mid April. Those help. I couldn't imagine riding all year round.
You boys in the Southern states are blessed, I'm jealous.
Wife and I took a nice loonng ride today, 60 degrees with sunshine. Temp already dropping as for the next couple weeks high maybe 50, if lucky, even predicting white stuff on Turkey day. Not looking forward to this winter at all.
Here in western PA. it's been cold, windy, and snowing. Hoping for one more ride before I call it quits for the year. I hear it may warm up a little come April.
