My rigid bobber, the one currently in the BOTM running was sold tonight to a guy from Florida. He personally picked it up tonight. It was my first bike build, and was built from REAL Harley parts with a REAL, clear Harley-Davidson title....an ORIGINAL style chopper. Built from 9 different Halrey-Davidsons and some new parts......it was a real adventure this last summer.
Godspeed to my "little b1tch".....the black boardtracker.
Your first build, but hopefully not your last. Very sweet build in deed......mind telling us how much you got for it? If not, I understand. Just curious I suppose.
I still have "Susie" my Superglide that I customized....not much Superglide left in her, after I raked and lowered her, threw the softtail forks on, etc.
I didn't make any money on the bobber. I got $5500....which is about max, becasue she was made out of OLD parts.
I guess that makes me heartless. My '63 pan rigid that I built and with help from a couple friends back in 1980 something and had for 20+years was sold back in January to a friend in Arizona. I don't miss that quirky catankerous antequated antique.

Yeah.....I got to learn first hand what having a rigid was all about.....it's not all roses......things vibrate loose, and painted parts in direct contact will casue the paint to crack, chip, etc. etc.
I love the way my DYNA rides, and my next will be either a softtail or a DYNA setup.
FXR is not my thing....never liked them.....I'd strip one in a heatbeat!
