Yes they should at least be aware of the potential. Logic doesnt apply. If some 1%er sees someone wearing some SOA gear and he thinks the show is lame he might beat their *** on principle! It is naive to think it cant happen.
Likewise, if some 1% sees someone wearing a red shirt, and hates red, he may beat their ***. Obviously, one needs to wear nothing at all if they may encounter a 1% somewhere. Then again, they may get their *** beat by a 1% who hates nudists. Also, the 1%'ers need to be careful, because they might run into some psycho who beats their *** because he hates 1%'ers.
Everyone better just stay home. It's a very dangerous world out there!

I'd be careful there Chuck. I heard of a guy getting his *** beat at Stoogapalooza because he was wearing a Curly Joe T-Shirt.
You never know who you might run in to, and what they may like or dislike, so, to completely avoid *** whoopin's, it's best to just never wear a T-shirt. Obviously, they are very disturbing to some people.
I think the initiator of the thread has a point. Wear controversial stuff with caution and if you choose to, be prepared to be challenged and what you'll do under the circumstances. Those that take umbrage do so because to them who live what they wear take offense to those who do so as poser's. Posers like the Iron pigs for example, lol.
The lower rocker shows that you are claiming territory. This is a serious matter to M/C's. The bottom rocker stating "California" has traditionally been the territory of the Hells Angels, and lately the Mongols...and there has been some deaths in the fighting that has ensued.
Wear what you want, I don't give a crap. Just....be aware that you MIGHT have problems. The HA have no doubt already decided on this matter. The rocker under the arm, etc. These are all significant.....it was a stupid thing to have this show with this stuff....and this is just a bad idea.
JMHO, but I can't see any good reason to try to look like something I'm not. Anything with 3 patches is the province of 1% groups, like it or don't. I'll just stay out of their business and mind mine.
Not really. Three piece patch simply denotes a "traditional" MC.
As far as the SOA stuff - watch the show and have fun with it. It ain't reality, and doesn't pretend to be. Wear the clothes? Probably be good for a laugh by anyone with a club, but then again ya may run into someone with a toothache on a really cold day right after he got pulled by a cop whose ol' lady ran off with a studly GWRRA triker-dude at the last Wing Ding.

Wow, guess I better not wear my Harley-Davidson T-shirts anymore. I might get beaten up by a bunch of rice burners riders!!!!!!!
We are each responsible for our own actions. We either benefit or suffer from our choices. In this thread a word to the wise goes along way. Learn from others mistakes. You know full well your HD shirt won't remotely get you even stared at by a rice burner rider BUT there have been actual cases reported where careless wearing of controversial attire has gotten some people killed. In Concord or Manchester,NH an unwitting wearer of support HA paraphenalia he picked up in Laconia(because he thougt it was cool), walked into a bar that he did not realize was frequented by Outlaw MC(he was not from the area). The wearer of that shirt is now dead. Killed by a drunk Outlaw MC guy. He was young and died clueless.
So while some of you posters and nay sayers want to poke fun at this thread what the author is trying to express is to simply be aware of the possible ramifications of said choices.
Not everyone gets to play one percenter and when the bluff is called play the LEO card for the bail out. Some of us actually are held accountable for our mistakes. And the consequences can be lethal but most importantly can be avoided with good judgement and a little help from our friends.

With all due respect traditionally the 3 piece patch has been 1%er and the solid patch non 1%er. Its gotten a little fuzzy over time. Unless you mean "traditional" as 1%.
