In response to the OP I sold auto parts for 10 years so I completely understand the issue, a lot of people think parts are for "testing" and some have no business turning wrenches. As far as the ball busting over the grammar I think it is a product of winter and less riding time.
I try and fix it myself coz I'm broke. If I cant fathom something out I'll ask you lot. If you lot cant help I burn the thing and claim the insurance money. pmsl..
OK how's this for admissions of being guilty of STUPID. When installing a clutch cable on a XLH, snug the fitting at the case. DO NOT PLAY GORILLA MAN. When removing shift lever do not attempt to pry the lever open. Use alternate method of applying penetrant and moving lever back and forth on shaft. Prying lever apart causes profane language and unnecessary cost. Bet, ya'll can't guess how I know. The thing I can't figure out is if he was mad at the dealer cause he was the rube, or if he worked for the dealer and was tired of rubes bringing stuff in after thet screwed it up?
I was born and raised in Northwest Arkansas, then 35 years in Northern Michigan, finally got down here to 'Gods' country, but I still understood exactly what 'hilbily' was saying. Some of you guys disappoint me sometimes with your pettiness. Especially to new members... they haven't even been here long enough to know which jerk is which
