You should put the kick start on it(if still availible).....they used to have a kit witch was pretty easy to install...Did my 76....

Makes me want another one. Only problem is I would have to buy an electric start bike this time. I don't think I could kick over my old '69 XLCH anymore, the compression on that thing would really punish you if you did not respect it!

Fantastic job. You've got the very last year of what some consider to be the REAL ironheads. I nearly got a 74 when I was looking years ago but the one I wanted had just been sold. I wound up getting a 75 instead; first year for the left side shift.
