For anyone out there that has purchased tires from ebay I have a question for ya, well more then probably...
I am looking to get new tires for my ride, I really want some white walls,
I have found several auctions for some nice looking white walls but they have this blu coloring on the white part, does that come off easily?
I know this is probably the dumbest question about tires possible but I am new to all this and have never bought white wall tires for anything.
Also has anyone bought anything from the NPS Ebay Store?
It is some kind of freight recovery thing and they advertise the tire as new with a little dirt on it, and that they have no way to test to see if it even holds air, my question here is should I risk it? or just move along to some kind of actual tire seller?
Find out what their return policy is, if any. If they stand behind what they sell, and you install it and its junk, they should be willing to refund your money. (They may ask you to ship the defective item back) If not, move on and buy elsewhere. ALWAYS ask about the seller's return policy BEFORE you buy. I do quite a bit of buying on Ebay and so far, I've only had an issue with one seller who was very slow to ship my item even though I was prompt with payment. (That seller by the way was American Classic Motors)
I've been watching those same auctions and think I'll probably pass unless they're REALLY cheap. I e-mailed them several days ago asking for the manufacture date codes from the tires and have received NO response. If they've been sitting in a warehouse for 5 or 10 years I don't want 'em.

Are they Dunlop E-3's, Avon, Metzlers or a brand/type well known and rated? I like/need to save $$ as much as anyone. Need to know I have good contact with the asphalt though.

Get tires from http://www.americanmototire.com/catalog/ I just got a set of whitewalls from them. $263 for the set shipped. I couldn't find anything close to that price for avon whitewalls anywhere else, even from a friend who runs a shop...
