I spoke with a dealer on Saturday about the new trade in program for my 07 Sporty. The will give me $9,700 for my Sporty, but would not deal at all on the new bike. Going to another dealer tomorrow to see if I can do any better. New bike with be either a RK or Heritage Classic.

Went to Seminole Harley today in Sanford, Florida and the showroom was full, they had some great prices on 07's, and 08's, with prices posted on them, I don't know what they are doing if anything with new bikes. This new economy we are in you will see prices on luxury items will keep coming down because the key for luxury market is Liquidity (Cash flow), so deals will be happening.

i just bought my Classic 09 last week.
One dealer was 18800.00, so i went down the road and the same bike (literally, thet did a dealer trade), they sold for 18k., plus gave more for my trade.
The higher dealer really did not care that they losy my business.

I was at Crystal River Harley yesterday in Crystal River Florida. I was looking at the 09 Electra Glides, (my Heritage is coming up on 98K miles) I plan on keeping it and buying a new bike in the next 6 to 12 months. The dealer is selling at 10% below MSRP right now on 09's, it was hard to resist! I just want to wait a little longer and haven't really decided on new or used yet, it's nice to see the dealers actually dealing for a change though.

I was at my local dealer over the weekend and they had 4 2008 Ultra's still on the floor. And not one of them was marked down. That's a lot of 08 Ultras to still have on the floor, plus the other assorted 08's on the floor.
