How long has it been? Is there a chance that someone dropped something on it since you got it back? Was it there already and you just didn't notice it? Did you do an inspection of the bike when it was picked up at the dealer. Did you sign paper work saying the bike was finished to your satisfaction? If you were the dealer how would you feel about you coming back and pointing out the dent after some time had passed? How much work have you had done at the dealer and what kind of relationship do you have with them? Simple to take it back and talk to them.

My guess is that after 3 weeks, the dealer probably won't be too willing to do the repairs at no cost to you. However, if you explain that you think the damage may have be done while the bike was in their hands, they might give you a bit of a break on the repairs.

The dealer I go to, Heritage Harley in Edmonton, walks around the bike with you before you hand it over to them, looking for scratches and dings that are present. Then, when I pick up the bike after servicing, we both go around again to make sure all is well.

Nice colour, Other Sheep!

Personally, I would say NO!! However, you could always play on their professional courtesy, if that fails try getting down on your knees. LOL

Too late. You should have checked it out and noted it at the time you picked it up.
Not even worth the embarassment (spelling) to ask them about it.
You will get shot down.

I agree with the rest, three weeks is pushing it. As mentioned earlier, this sort of thing really depends on what kind of relationship you have with this dealer. Being a regular customer seems to go a long way in resolving matters such as these. Good luck, I hope it gets resolved in a manner that is agreeable to both of you.

Might check with the dealer but id say your SOL. Dealer i go to also walks around the bike and takes pictures of the bike before they do anything so they have the pictures to go back to if there is an issue

I would be very shocked if a dealer would own up to that after 3 weeks, most would deny it after the same day. I would never leave the dealership without going over the bike first.
